[Glass-mit] Helen Lee talk cancelled (or at least postponed)

Hello again, Glass Lab friends,

Due to the facts that: a) the Institute is officially closed today and we
cannot get AV support; b) the T will close today at 3:30; and c) all the
potato chips have been cleared off the shelves of all the stores in the
area by hysterical shoppers, we will regretfully cancel Helen Lee's talk in
6-120 tonight.

Helen is around until Wednesday, so in the event that the snow has been
cleared and we can get a suitable room on Monday or Tuesday, we may choose
to reschedule the talk for one of those nights. I will keep you posted.

In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy the snow!

Peter

Dear friends of the MIT Glass Lab,****

This week Oakland-based artist, MIT and RISD alum, and our esteemed
webmaster Helen Lee will be an artist-in-residence in the Glass Lab. ****

Helen's work is highly experimental in nature, and often explores the
intersection of sculptural form and written language. On Friday, February
8, Lee will give a slide talk about her work in room 6-120, starting around
6:45PM. You are invited.****

Before the talk commences, we will be conducting a blind taste test to rank
currently available brands of BBQ potato chips. This has been a hotly
contested issue on pumpkin crews for some time now, and we will be
attempting to resolve it at this gathering. If you have a favorite brand of
BBQ potato chip, feel free to bring it to the contest.****

See you on Friday.****

Peter
