Dear Glass Lab students, instructors, and friends,
In case you have not yet heard, registration for our local alternative to
the GAS conference, GlassBoston, has now opened! Program details and
registration forms can be found at
http://www.societyofcrafts.org/learn/glassboston.asp.
As you can see, one day of events, Thursday, June 13, will be held at MIT,
followed by three days of both glass blowing and flame working
demonstrations at APG studios in North Cambridge.
On June 13 there will also be a one-day, come-one-come-all exhibit in the
Bush room at MIT called *The Suitcase Show*, open to all attendees of the
conference.
Following the day's events and a reception at the Suitcase Show, there will
be a barbeque outside Kresge, so check that out too.
Since we need to defray the costs of the conference, everyone who is not
giving a lecture or demo in the Glass Lab will need to register in order to
attend events, so please register soon (the conference will be capped at
only 200 people!). And please plan on bringing a piece, however small or
large, to the Suitcase Show!
Hope to see you at GlassBoston.
Peter
