Dear MIT Glass Lab associates,
Many of you may be wondering what became of all that video shot by Marty and
Erik Demaine and Rene Chen during Lino Tagliapietra's visit to MIT last
October. The answer is this: after building a very large-headed computer and
lots of hours spent in the editing room (aka Erik's office), Marty and Erik
have put together a wonderful 13-minute piece. The video was debuted at
Lino's big retrospective show in Venice this February and was received
enthusiastically. You can find out more about it by following this link:

<http://erikdemaine.org/videos/lino/>Since, at this point, we only have
permission (from Lino Tagliapietra Inc.) to show the video and not
distribute or post it on the web, the way to see it will be to attend a
screening that we have scheduled for Wednesday, April 6th at 6:00 PM in room
6-120. Room 6-120 is on the first floor of building 6, off the Infinite
Corridor, and just a little ways past the Sol Lewitt floor; right across
from lobby 6. Everyone is invited and there will be no charge. We will have
the room for an hour, so we are planning to show one or two other videos
made by others. You'll find out what they are when you come.
Hope you can make it!
Peter
