Hi everyone. A lot of emails have gone out about the sale, and a lot
of people have been added recently, so I just wanted to summarize some
of the information:
The Preview Opening (no sales, only viewing) is Friday, October 5, 5-8pm
The Pumpkin Sale is Saturday, October 6, 10am-3pm
The Sale Rain Date is Sunday, October 7, 10am-3pm
The location of both the preview and sale is Kresge Oval:

Up-to-date rain date information will be posted on this webpage:
http://web.mit.edu/glasslab/sales_pumpkin.html
(Don't check for email about whether the sale is being moved due to
rain--visit the website. I'm going to be on a trip, and Peter may be
swamped with preparations.)
Pumpkins cannot be reserved or sold outside of the sale, and we don't
do web-sales or ship pumpkins. They are only sold during the yearly
Pumpkin Patch sale.
Parking: You may park at the West Garage Annex and West Garage:

http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?selection=P25&Parking=go
Do not park in places that are marked permit only. There may be one
or two handicapped parking spaces on Mass Ave. in front of lobby 7/
small dome/ 77 Mass. Ave.
Price/payment info: Pumpkins will probably range from $40-$250 each
depending on quality and difficulty to make. Cash, Check, and Credit
cards will be accepted (Visa/Mastercard at least, I don't know about
Amex or Discover nor about debit cards). There is an ATM inside the
student center, (though if everyone went to get cash there, who knows
whether there'd be any left, so maybe pick some up at your local ATM
on Friday).
Mailing list signup: If you're already on the email list, you do *not*
need to re-sign up on the sheets at the checkout tables. If you want
your snail mail added or changed, it'd probably be easier just to send
me an email saying so.
Terri
