Just a reminder that the 2006 Page Hazlegrove Lecturer in Glass Art
lecture is this Tuesday:

   Speaker: Dick Marquis
   Date: Tuesday, October 10th
   Time: 7:00 p.m.
   Place: Wong Auditorium, MIT

Richard Marquis is one of the pioneers of the American studio glass
movement. In the early 1970s he was one of the first Americans ever to
work in a Venetian glass factory. Since then, Marquis has evolved a
personal and unique body of work that collides traditional Venetian
approaches with a distinctly modern American sensibility.

Directions:

The building, E51 or the Tang Center (NOT Tang hall which is a dorm on
the other side of campus) is located at:

   http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?selection=E51&Buildings=go

I recommend parking in the following lots:
1. The Hayward St. Lot off of Hayward
   http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?selection=P5&Parking=go

2. The East Garage Annex lot off of Main Street:
   http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?selection=P9&Parking=go

It is entirely possible that you may be able to park next to the
building in what's called the Amherst St. Lot, but I do not know the
rules on parking there, so be sure to check the signs carefully:

When you get there, feel free to ask passers-by where the "Wong
Auditorium in building E51" is.

Terri
