Hi Rik,
This is a last minute invitation but we hope a lot of people form Gambit can join us tomorrow. Please help us spread the word,
We'd like to invite you to the 6th annual Music & Sound for Visual Media Networking Event, hosted at Berklee College of Music (150 Mass. Ave., Boston), coming up this Saturday (November 5) and running from 11:30am-7:30pm. The event is FREE, including complimentary refreshments.
This year is the first time that this event has expanded to include all aspects of sound and all visual media: film, television, video games, and internet. We have some amazing speakers scheduled including Paul Hirsch(editor of Star Wars, among other notable credits), Diego Stocco (sound designer for many films, TV series, and video games notably Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Sherlock Holmes), Shawn Robertson & Jeff Seamster (art and audio leads at Irrational Games, makers of Bioshock), as well as a panel representing a "success story" from a previous iteration of this event, a showcase of 7 finalist scores for a short film, and plenty of networking. Another important part of the event is the Demo Show and Expo in which you can meet Berklee sound design and composition students interested in working on media projects and hear their work all in one place.
So, whether you're currently looking for sound and/or music for your project or simply want to learn more about this topic, please join us! There is a PDF flyer attached, and you can pre-register (until Thursday) and see complete event information at http://learningcenter.berklee.edu/Contests_and_Events/Music_4_Film_Event/Music_4_Film_11/
Sincerely,
