problems with the tspdemo

Hi,
 
I have successfully compiled the GALib and MFC demo's under Visual C++
6, however when I run the tspdemo there seems to be a problem.  I have
tracked it down the 'configure' function call.
 
When it calls: _theGA->minimize();  it seems to get caught in a loop and
never escapes.  Then when I step into this function it doesn't seem to
get the write population size.
 
Has anyone else encountered a similar problem and if so how did you
solve it?
