comparator in ex23 and ex25

Hi,

I am confused by the comparator function for ex23 and
ex25. I think it should be:

return ( 1.0-exp( -(a.gene(0) - b.gene(0)) *
(a.gene(0) - b.gene(0)) / 1000.0));

Any one could give me a clarification about it?
