Chromsome Length in GARealGenome

I'm putting the finishing touches on a paper for GECCO and would like to
know the length of a GARealGenome in bits. I've looked through the
documentation and source code and can't find a clear answer. My
assumption is that real values are not encoded in bit strings but kept
as 4-byte floats? So for 9 discretized reals, this would take 288 bits.
