Hi,
thanks a lot for your support, but your suggestions didn't solve my problems.
The message of Dr.Wilson you forwarded refers to the version 244 that 
includes the project file, while version 245 doesn't include any project. 
So I have used the msvcpp5.zip downloaded by the ftp site.
Nevertheless, I think that the problem arise from some setting in the 
project file that  doesn't go with galib 245. In fact, if you open the file 
compile-errors.txt included in the archive msvcpp5.zip, you see that the 
test was done on the version 243 of the library.
