Help with TSP needed ?

I've installed galib here and have been attempting to get the TSP application to work
efficiently - but have failed ... I can't get it to quickly converge on anything approaching
the optimal solution for largish problems.

Does anyone out there have a solution which I could reuse ?

I'd appreciate any help.
