GAlib 2.4 "ex3.C" : EXECUTION TIME ERROR - PLEASE HELP

Please can anyone help me solve this execution time problem. The GAlib
compiles in my machine -(I use Microsoft Visual C++ 4.0). I have been
able to use the libraries in some of the examples. However I keep
getting an execution time error in the example ex3.C. Details of the
error are reprinted below:
