[fair-data-stewardship] cyverse foundational open science skills (FOSS) course

A couple nice online tools were presented that I didn't know about before:

- the Australian Research Data Commons’ (ARDC) FAIR data self assessment tool:
    - deployed: https://ardc.edu.au/resources/working-with-data/fair-data/fair-self-assessment-tool/
    - source (a simple static HTML file; GNU GPL v3): https://github.com/au-research/FAIR-Data-Assessment-Tool

- the Data Stewardship Wizard team's tool for making machine-actionable (with export to human-readable formats) Data Management Plans (DMPs):
    - deployed: https://ds-wizard.org/
    - source (mostly Apache 2.0 licensed): https://github.com/ds-wizard

I liked the self-assessment so much that I have already adapted the Findable section to a 1-page PDF for folks to apply to one of their datasets (in case the "whole" self-assessment is a bit intimidating at first): https://files.polyneme.xyz/dropshare/3Kt3Xu6cEVbv.pdf .

The FOSS workshop itself was a little rushed, but that's understandable -- it's hard to give people time to work through these things and discuss them. The format was more biased towards us watching the presenter walk through the tools, but that was still valuable.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these tools as part of their data lifecycle consultations/workflows?
