[E&E seminars] ESI News: Rethinking Water: A Critical Resource -- MIT Workshop May 20-21

Colleagues,

MIT will host an Institute-wide workshop called Rethinking Water: A Critical Resource on Thursday May 20th  from 6 pm-8 pm, and Friday May 21st from 9 am to 5 pm.

The opening keynote address will be delivered Thursday evening by Charles Duhigg of the New York Times, author of their ongoing series Toxic Waters.

MIT President Susan Hockfield will open the working program on Friday morning, May 21st.

The workshop will identify common interests, collaborative opportunities, and funding for research and teaching related to water-oriented work at MIT including:
*         The Water - Energy - Food Nexus
*         Water, Sanitation, Heath and Technology
*         Climate, Hydrology, Risk, and Adjustment
*         The Scaling and Cultural Context of Water Solutions
This FREE event will be held in the Kirsch Auditorium at the Stata Center (32-123) so seating is limited.
