Good morning,
The MIT Energy Initiative, in cooperation with Congressman Ed Markey,
is proud to announce a very special event this coming Monday, April
13th.
Congress will soon be taking up legislation proposed by Chairman Henry
A. Waxman of the Energy and Commerce Committee and Chairman Edward J.
Markey of the Energy and Environment Subcommittee and Select Committee
on Global Warming. The draft legislation, entitled The American Clean
Energy and Security Act of 2009 (ACES), charts a new course toward a
clean energy economy that creates jobs, helps end our dangerous
dependence on foreign oil, and combats global warming. Principals from
the Congress and from the Administration will discuss the approach and
seek community views.
