MIT Energy Club Event: RETScreen Training

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), the Canadian government?s department
responsible for energy, mining and the environment, will be conducting a 1-day
training on their RETScreen International Clean Energy Project Analysis
Software tool at MIT Laboratory for Energy and the Environment (Building
E40-496) on October 4, 2006 from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.

There is no cost for either the training or the software. Lunch will be

evaluation tools to provide comprehensive financial analysis of renewable
technologies for project developers and financial institutions.

RETScreen contains dedicated evaluation modules for various technologies,
including:

Fuel cell
Gas turbine
Geothermal power
Hydro turbine
Solar Photovoltaic
Solar thermal power
Steam turbine
Tidal power
Wind turbine
Biomass system

RETScreen is used by a growing number of investment banks, renewable technology
project developers, and universities in 216 countries to evaluate energy
production or savings; costs; GHG reductions, including for JI and CDM
projects; and financial viability and risk, for various types of proposed
energy efficient and renewable energy technologies (RETs).

Please register by September 27. To register, please see the RETScreen training
