News Office style guide
Maia Weinstock, deputy editor of the News Office, led us through some of the highlights in the style guide (see attached file). MIT communicators are not required to use the style guide, but Maia commented that many people appreciate having it as a resource and that any articles submitted for Campus News will be edited to follow this format. She pointed out several entries that staff may find especially useful:

The News Office style guide is heavily based on the AP Stylebook, which may be purchased directly from the Associated Press<https://www.apstylebook.com>.

Campus News and MIT in the News
Maia has a couple of tips for submitting an article to Campus News<https://news.mit.edu/user/login?destination=user/campus-news/submit>. Including related links and related MIT news articles can help get your story published faster. If you have a YouTube video to embed, include a note for Maia with your submission.

For the MIT in the News weekly email, the Media Relations team monitors MIT mentions and selects the ones to feature.
