Hi Alice (and for anyone else on this list who is interested in knowing how to change the color of the hyperlinks on your Twitter account),
On Twitter, you go to Settings > Design > Theme color. The "Theme Color" is what color your links will be.
If you ever have social media questions for your departments' accounts, I am here for you. Also, view http://connect.mit.edu/blog for more how-tos, case studies, and best practices for social media.
Best,
Stephanie

btw, I sent along this feedback my colleague who set up the Twitter account and he reports that we didn't choose that invisible text color, it defaulted to it. He, too, is annoyed by it and has been trying to figure out how to fix it. So if anyone has suggestions, let me know...

Is it me, or has the SOLVE_MIT Twitter account chosen a color scheme that makes all their @mentions and links practically invisible?

I agree with Cate, I think you may be referencing HUBweek.
MIT's "Solve" (Oct 5-8, 2015) will be a "spoke event" of Cambridge's HUBweek.

Tech Review staff will have more information (not sure if there's anyone from TR on this list?).

Thanks.
