[Editors] Copy editor rates

Hi everyone:

A fellow in the department who is co-authoring an engineering textbook asked me if I know what hourly going rate is for copy editing something like that. I’m not sure he wants to hire one - may just be curious. As I don’t hire external copy editors, I have no idea. Anyone know? Thanks.
