[Editors] Advice/help on powerpoint?

Dear Friends,

I have been invited to give a 40 min. webinar through the University
of Texas Center on Parenting Education, in three weeks, on March 1st.
I will talk about the big parenting education picture - incl.
international efforts I have made and taken part in - as well as the
small picture - Parents Forum.

A while back I took a course here at MIT on PowerPoint but foolishly
recycled the copious handout book provided by the instructor. Silly
me. I have * never * done anything like this and I'd like (at least)
to avoid rookie mistakes. I don't want Edward Tufte killing any
kittens if at all possible.

I will be grateful for any links or resources you can provide. On my
computer I have PP version (2008) 12.2.3. Do I just jump in and start
making slides?

With thanks,

Eve
