[Editors] Coming Your Way: IS&T News Update

Hello Fellow Editors,

You'll soon be receiving a second email from me about IS&T news update, a new monthly HTML newsletter from my department. If you liked the print is&t newsletter from days gone by, I encourage you to subscribe. The email newsletter spotlights new computing services at MIT, and at least some of the news stories may be of interest to you.

Some of you – for example, those of you on the infogroup mailing list – will have already received this "sign-up" email. I apologize in advance for the multiple copies. I am using a new (to me) mailing list manager, MaxBulk Mailer and, as I've discovered, it has no way of comparing which individuals are on which MIT lists. This email blast that you'll be getting soon will not be repeated (I promise!). In future only those of you who have subscribed to the IS&T news update will receive a copy.
