MIT Sea Grant announces the launch of a brand new website at http://seagrant.mit.edu/<http://seagrant.edu/>.

Our new website is powered by eSeaGrant (eSG), the content management system created in-house to handle Sea Grant RFPs, reporting, and all related program information. Much of the content on the new website -- the RFP, project descriptions, news, publications, images, and people
directories -- are managed and dynamically presented by eSG. MIT Sea Grant's website is the first program website to run on this platform.

The site features:

 * shallow navigation allowing users to get quickly to content
 * database of over 900 MIT Sea Grant funded projects
 * database of over 1,400 MIT Sea Grant publications
 * easy access to all in-house and advisory projects
 * news, announcements, image and video galleries, and calendar of events
 * features for sharing our content, signing up for our e-newsletter
 *   and much, much more

A website is a living thing and as such we are always at work refining content, enhancing search functions, checking links, and organizing images. Our next wave of features will include an RSS feed, podcasts, and pages for individual staff members and PIs.

We welcome your feedback! Let us know what you like and yell, "Gotcha!" if you find a typo.

cheers

Nancy
