Dear Colleagues,
Just a reminder of today's workshop for MIT Communicators...
Research Techniques for Writers and Editors
Date: Friday, April 9, 1-2pm
Location: 14N-132, MIT Libraries' Digital Instruction Resource Center
Learn how to use the Libraries' resources and databases to research your own articles or find past articles written about MIT. This workshop will show you how to connect from your desktop to a wealth of online resources licensed to MIT, such as Lexis Nexis, Factiva, ProQuest, historic newspaper databases and more. The experts at the libraries will show you the best techniques for effective searches beyond a Google search, and how to connect with subject specialists in specific MIT disciplines.
Workshops are open to members of the MIT community. No registration required; seating is limited so please arrive early. Presentation materials will be made available on the Communications Workshops site (http://web.mit.edu/commworkshops/).
Best,
Heather
