[Editors] Advice on digital voice recorders

Hello, All,

I wondered whether you or someone you know uses a digital voice 
recorder and could recommend a model for me to buy. I want to tape 
interviews, transfer the audio file onto my Mac, and then transcribe 
the interview using appropriate transcription software and a foot 
pedal.

There seem to be lots of models available, and they claim to do all 
sorts of different things--so I'm overwhelmed!
