[Editors] temporary web writer/editor position

Hi all,

 

We are looking for a web writer/editor to work with the Alumni Association
on a part-time basis for the next four months or so -- slightly less than
half time. Would you pass this description on to any great candidates?

MITAA Web Content Writer

The Web Content Writer will work with MITAA staff to write and to edit
content for the Alumni Association's new web site expected to launch in
February 2008. The content must be lively, easy-to-read, and meet program
needs. The text must adhere to the standards of the MITAA web content and
web style guides. Concise editing and meticulous proofreading are essential.
Must be able to meet regularly with MITAA staff during business hours.
Reports to Nancy DuVergne Smith, head of the MITAA Content & Style team.

Requirements

BS or BA in a related field. Three to five years' professional experience in
journalism and web writing/editing. Excellent communication, writing,
editing, organizational, project management, web development, and
interpersonal skills. Awareness of Web 2.0 trends and web research on
content quality and usability.
