Dear colleagues,

The MIT Publishing Services Bureau is hosting two upcoming events as
part of our Communications Workshops series.

The first event is a presentation on digital printing by Next
Generation Printing, one of MIT's preferred vendors. The seminar will
cover how digital printing is being used successfully at
universities, citing various case studies in admissions, alumni,
fundraising, and professional development. They will also cover how
new technologies, such as web landing sites and email publishing, are
being added to digitally printed direct mail campaigns to
dramatically improve response rates.

The November 8 event is a webinar presented by the Council for
Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The webinar will review
100 college websites and discuss the degree to which the sites
communicate the colleges' marketing messages effectively online. The
resulting data shows what colleges should aim for when creating or
updating their websites. Attendees would join us in the room we've
reserved to access the audio/web connection. For full details,
visit: http://www.case.org/onlinespeaker/100websites/default.cfm
