There's a part-time editorial assistant's position open in the Reference
Publications Office. It's 18.75 hrs/wk (50%) and a job share.

EDITORIAL ASSISTANT, REFERENCE PUBLICATIONS OFFICE, Public Relations
Services (part-time, 18.75 hrs/wk.), to assist staff in all phases of
print and electronic publishing and provide administrative support. Will
copyedit reference materials, create page layouts, and create and update
web pages; manage publication distribution and order fulfillment; manage
requisitioning, invoice processing, and account reconciliation; respond
to telephone, mail, and e-mail inquiries; and schedule meetings and
record meeting notes.
REQUIREMENTS: two years' experience in academic publishing or related
work; proficiency with Microsoft Word, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Acrobat,
and FileMaker (or equivalents); solid competence in English; strong
editorial skills; and familiarity with print and web publishing. Success
in this position requires close attention to detail, secure
time-management and organizational skills, and the ability to work both
independently as well as part of a close-knit team. Editorial
experience, undergraduate liberal arts degree, familiarity with
university work environment, and Macintosh-friendly technical
