[Editors] A request to listen to MIT news podcasts

Thanks for everyone's comments -- others are still invited to listen
and weigh in!

In answer to a couple of things that came up:

- The rationale for doing this is to take advantage of a popular
technology to reach an audience that prefers to listen (via a
portable audio player or computer) rather than read. It's for those
who catch up with the news on the subway, while they're walking,
working out or doing housework. We also hope the podcasts drive
people to our site for the full stories.

- The ideas of different voices and a give-and-take format are great
ones and under discussion as we move forward. We'd really like to
enliven these as much as we can.

Other thoughts?

Thanks again,
Lisa
