Greetings,
Recently in our office, there has been discussion regarding the value of the
newsletter, how we can determine if it is read, whether or not we should
continue it, if we continue it, should we go to electronic version, how long
should it be, etc.
Since I am not a communications professional, I don't have ready answers for
these questions. Here specifically are my questions for the group.
1. Is there any general information, research, etc. about the value of
newsletters as a communication tool for organizations?
2. Have any of you done a survey to determine if your newsletters are
read? If so, how did you do it?
3. What is your opinion on the subject of on-line vs. paper copy? Is
there any general information out there regarding this topic?
4. What is optimum length of a newsletter?
Thanks in advance for information on these questions.
