[Editors] need summer help?

This time I can enthusiastically recommend a job candidate,
instead of just passing on a resume with a warning that I have no
knowledge of the person.

Miranda Weinberg is about to graduate from high school, and
can do full-time or part-time work for June and part of July. She
can't sign up with a temporary agency because she's under 18, but she
has formidable office skills: types over 100 wpm, computer-literate
like the rest of her age-group, and works with Word, WordPerfect,
Excel, etc. on Mac or PC. She types almost as fast in Spanish, and
can also type in French and German. She is an amazing proofreader
because she has synesthesia (cross-linked senses), and sees spelling
mistakes in color, as if they have been highlighted in ink. For the
last five years she has proofread the "CEE at MIT" newsletter and
found more mistakes than anyone else. Except when dealing with her
parents, she is very amiable and cooperative.
