To the MIT Editors Club, Information Group, and Communications Operating Group:

Many of you are aware that our colleague Arthur Jones, director of
the MIT News Office, has been on extended sick leave since last fall.
While it is our hope that Arthur will be able to work with us in some
capacity in the future, we must begin a search for a new director.
We do this with a heavy heart, having had the great benefit and
pleasure of working with him over the past year.

We will post the position shortly (see below), and will be working
with an outside firm as well as with an internal committee to assist
us in the search. In the meantime, we appreciate your assistance in
helping us to spread the word about this opening.

Regards,

Kathryn Willmore
