Hi:

I wanted to let you know about an opportunity for a science writer:
the McGovern Institute for Brain Research
(http://web.mit.edu/mcgovern/) is looking for a part-time writer to
work with the eight members of the McGovern faculty on press releases
for a general audience. They will consider an outside freelance
writer or someone who is already working here at MIT.

They have been averaging about 2-3 articles a month, mostly
descriptions of faculty papers in the science publications Neuron or
Science, etc. This would involve interviewing the faculty, who would
also serve as editors, under the final authority of the Director.
They seek someone with experience in writing for the life sciences,
preferably neuroscience, and would be very glad to have someone with
MIT knowledge and experience. Please contact Laurie Ledeen,
Development and Special Projects Officer at Ledeen at MIT.edu (617)
324-0134 if you know of anyone.

Thanks
Janet
