Hi Everybody,
I've got another interesting query for you: do any of you know of a
woman ENGINEER who has done or is doing brain research?
Here's the context:
The American Association of Engineering Societies, The American
Society of Civil Engineers, the
Society of Women Engineers and numerous other supporting
organizations are organizing something called the Extraordinary Women
Engineers Project. The goal of the project is to attract more girls
and women into the field of engineering.
The cornerstone of the project is a large-format hardcover book entitled
"Women Engineers: Extraordinary Stories of How They Changed Our World."
The
book will contain profiles of women who pioneered the field of engineering
dating back to the 1870's up through the present. It will be written for
girls ages 14-18 years old.
The writer contacted me looking for a woman engineer who has worked
in heart research. I helped him with that, and now he is looking for
a woman involved in brain research.
Any recommendations? Send 'em my way.
Elizabeth
