Hi Elizabeth,
I'll give some thought to additional suggestions and I'd definitely
like to see
the compiled list. I'm guessing that responses to President
Hockfield's request may also serve to update the web page on "research
and teaching firsts"
at MIT. http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/special/firsts.html Anyway, that
page is
a good starting point for anyone who might not be familiar with it.
