[Editors] citation style preferences

Hi,

Do you have a preference for any of the many citation styles out 
there -- APA, MLA, Chicago, etc?

I'd appreciate any insights ... I've been using APA and have found it 
frustrating, but don't know if there's anything better.  I'd love one 
that's pretty intuitive, with an excellent, well-organized, detailed 
manual for looking up the weird ones (unpublished working paper, 
poster at a conference, online database, etc.)
