--I coordinate science and engineering news for the News Office. To
that end I write stories about MIT science and engineering research
for news releases and MIT Tech Talk. I answer daily calls from
reporters about MIT research, and track media queries and coverage
resulting from press releases via a database. I also produce, with my
colleague Lisa Damtoft, MIT Research Digest, a monthly tip sheet
distributed to ~800 reporters featuring 6-7 summaries of MIT
research. I'm always looking for items to include in the Research
Digest and welcome submissions. I've been chair of the MIT Editors'
Club since October 1994.
