Editors,
Like many other publications here at MIT, health at mit has become an exclusively online publication. We would like to invite you to check out the new online version at http://web.mit.edu/medical/mithealth.
We've always had an online version of health at mit, but it was really just the print publication posted online. In redesigning health at mit as an electronic publication, we've tried to take better advantage of the online medium. We'd love to hear what you think of our efforts, so take a look, and send us your feedback.
In this issue:
* Desktop dangers: Learn to avoid workstation hazards that can lead to repetitive strain injury, or RSI. You can also find out about campus resources for RSI, and try out this issue's interactive feature, "Where does it hurt?"
* Medicine and dentistry: MIT Medical's Dental Service chief, Jay Afrow, talks with health at mit about the fascinating connections between oral and physical health.
* An ounce of prevention: Can cervical cancer be prevented? What does an abnormal Pap smear mean? This article answers these questions and more.
* Plus, meet our new clinicians and find out what Lucy has to say about hepatitis B, eye tics, and foot-arch pain.
Please click on Newsletter Alert -- you'll see it on the right-hand side of the health at mit homepage -- and help us test out this feature by submitting your email address to receive an email alert whenever a new online issue of health at mit is available. And feel free to submit a question to Ask Lucy or click on Feedback to let us know what you think of our new publication.
Thanks,
Katherine
