Dear Editors,

collaboration with Borders Books at the Cambridgeside Galleria. The
next reading is scheduled for this Thurday, November 20. The event is
free. See below for details.
Science in Process:
Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research Fall Authors Series
Most of us have the idea that science moves in a neat, orderly fashion
from hypothesis and data to the eureka moments that we read about in the
daily news. But as many science insiders know, the real process of
discovery is much different. Join us this fall for a three-part science
writing series and explore the many ways that the process of science
shapes discovery. Participating authors will read from their most recent
work and share their insights into how research is conducted and reported.
Thursday, November 13
Joann Rodgers, author of Sex: A Natural History
Thursday, November 20
Sheldon Krimsky, author of Science in the Private Interest: Has the Lure
of Profits Corrupted Biomedical Research?
Monday, December 8
Deborah Blum, Pulitzer Prize winning author of Love at Goon Park: Harry
Harlow and the Science of Affection
All lectures take place at 7:00 p.m., at Borders Books, at the
Cambridgeside Galleria, Cambridge.
The readings are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
