IS&T is experimenting with a new format for this communication and would
like to know if you find it useful or otherwise.  

 

This monthly communication is intended for Faculty, Staff and Students
within the MIT Community, to provide updated information regarding new and
upcoming software products and services.

1. Recent Releases

The team has been busy working on high priority projects such as Internet

Explorer 7 and Windows Vista in an effort to prepare the MIT community. For

5.  Windows Automatic Update Service (WAUS)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

IS&T recommends users configure their Windows machines to use MIT's Windows

Automatic Update Service (WAUS) for critical patches and service pack

deployment.

 

Important Note: 

 

Internet Explorer 7 will not be deployed by MIT WAUS (WSUS) until early

January, 2007. However, patches for Internet Explorer 7 will be deployed via

MIT WAUS immediately following the product release by Microsoft. For

additional information including instructions to configure your machine for

WAUS, please visit:
