[edtech] LabView training, Monday, Feb 27

Academic Computing is sponsoring two events for faculty, staff, and  
students interested in LabView, a scientific and engineering  
application widely used on campus.

Date: Monday, February 27
Time: 2-5 pm (hands-on training), 6-8 pm (user group)
Place: 4-237

Agenda:

1. Hands-On Training

A 3-hour hands-on workshop with a National Instruments senior  
engineer, covering:
- simplified textual math
- advanced signal processing
- new sound card and data acquisition features
- distributed system development and deployment
- creating complete LabView applications

Participants will receive a complimentary copy of LabView 8, student  
edition.

2. User Group

A 2-hour general meeting of LabView users:
- Explore new features in labView 8
- Consider applications to teaching and research
- Bring your own questions/topics for discussion
