Dear Friends,
Seats are still available for NERCOMP's upcoming workshop:
"Copyright and Scholarly Communication in the Digital Age"

DATE:
December 6, 2005

TIME:
9:00- 2:30 (Coffee and Registration start at 8:00)

PRICE:
NERCOMP Members: $85, Non-Members: $185

LOCATION:
The College of the Holy Cross
Campus Center - 4th Floor
Worcester, MA.

DESCRIPTION:
Issues of Copyright and Scholarly Communication continue to be major
concerns for Universities across the country. New legislation, the
proliferation of digital media and publishing, and the explosion of
on-line learning have thrust these issues into even greater prominence
in recent years.

Institutionally, Librarians, faculty support professionals, and
Information Technology Departments are often expected to be the
University experts on these issues, especially considering their
respective relationships to information and its distribution to
students.

Our experienced presenters will guide you through the major perspectives
related to each of the issues, as well as both the broad and more
narrowly construed implications of each to higher education. Bring your
questions and come prepared for discussion!
