NERCOMP Members: $78, Non-Members: $178
LOCATION:
College of the Holy Cross
Hogan Campus Center
Worcester, MA.
DESCRIPTION:
Historically, foreign language faculty have been innovators when it has come to integrating technology into teaching and learning. Technology has provided teachers with a means for bringing native speakers and foreign cultures into the classroom and has offered students more
Individualized opportunities to practice using the language and receive feedback on their progress. Still, supporting the technology needed to teach foreign languages is often challenging because language learning often requires different software to deliver and record audio, display
non-Western language fonts or test language skills. This SIG will discuss many of these challenges and offer solutions frequently used by directors of language labs/resource center.
