[ecco-support] What redistributes surface forcing in ECCOv4r4?

Hi ECCO support group,

Thanks a lot for reading this. I am kind of new to numerical models. I know that KPP is not turned on for ECCOv4r4 run. Is it true that the normal vertical diffusion fluxes (DFrE and DFrI) rather than vertical advection are responsible for the redistribution of surface forcing (TH/SLT) in the mixed layer?
