Hi Ying,

I would suggest maybe using release 2 (ftp://mit.ecco-group.org/ecco_for_las/version_4/release2/) instead of release 1.

Indeed release 2 has additional output including zonal / meridional velocity components (EVELMASS / NVELMASS), 
temperature budgets (‘nctiles_tendencies/‘) and output interpolated to a regular lat-lon grid ('interp_*/‘). 

Also it is more systematically organized and documented via README’s placed in each directory (starting with 
ftp://mit.ecco-group.org/ecco_for_las/version_4/release2/README at the top level).
