[Dspace-general] Confusion In Export

Hi Hardik,
A normal export will export all of the items concerned, with all of
their metadata. The export could be edited and re-imported back into the
repository to update items.
The migrate export option will do the same, expect it removes any
system-generated metadata such as handle, provenance information and
ingest dates. This export can be used to import the same items into a
different repository that will want to create its own metadata such as
the handle and ingestion date.
I hope that helps,

P.S. - There is a big overlap in subscribers between dspace-tech and
dspace-general, so for technical questions such as this, it is only
necessary to send it to dspace-tech. Thanks J
