[Dspace-general] problem with search in a collection that documents have been mapped to from another collection

Dear DSpace Community:

We added a number of documents to a community/collection and later on
created another community/collection to which we item mapped some
documents from the original community/collection.

When we do a global search we find the documents (probably in the
original community/collection). If we search for a word in the title at
the community/collection level in the original community/collection we
find documents but when we do a search on the same word in the title at
community/collection level in the new community/collection we not find
documents. However, if one browses to the new community collection and
browses on titles (via titles in the collection search box) the
documents are listed properly.

Example: Admin/IT/Polices is the original community/collection that
holds Policy documents. Policies/IT is the new community/collection
created and "Policy One", "Policy Two", and "Policy Three" where item
mappped from Admin/IT/Polices to Policies/IT.

Admin
    IT
       Polices
           Policy One
           Policy Two
           Policy Three

Policies
    IT
        Policy One
        Policy Two
        Policy Three

It seems that search at the collection level for those documents "item
mapped" from the original community collection does not follow the
mapping or "link".

What are we doing wrong?

Thanks.

tony
