[Dspace-general] Metadataformat

Hi again,

I know that DSpace use Dublin core for metadata but in the text I found 
this: "Some communities or collections may also have tailored metadata 
available (such as MARC records for book collections, or FGDC records for 
geographic datasets)". Does this mean that DSpace handle metadta in MARC 
21-format or...?
