[Dspace-general] Adding Authentication

Hello,
  I have 1.2 installed using Apache 2.0.49 and Tomcat 5.0.19 w/out any 
authentication implemented.  I have altered the MITAuthentication class to 
suit my needs.  My question is, do I need to do 
ant -Dconfig=/dspace/config/dspace.cfg update  OR just ant update. Also, 
do I change the webui.site.authenticator before or after I run ant update?
