We hope your spring semester is off to a great start, and that you found some time to enjoy the cold weather! (ice skating on Killian, anyone?) Your favorite inter-dorm student government is back with some updates for the new year.


Tech Chair Elections and GBMs!

At our General Body Meeting (GBM) this Thursday (2/27), from 7-8:30PM at Maseeh, DormCon will be holding a special election for Tech Chair. A description of the role can be found here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vFMY8WWtVCWEjd7QKx1vwbBJLy-ZVU1J7_m1VpM3kEo/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.x06k8fymc9oa>, but the main responsibilities include updating our website and any other technology-related tasks that come up. Because it’s a special election, the role only lasts for this semester, so if you’re not sure about joining DormCon, this could be a great way to get started! Even if you’re not interested in running, we’d still love to see you at our GBM! It’s a great way to stay up-to-date on all the most important issues facing dorms at MIT, including housing, dining, and more! Plus, there’s free food! GBMs happen every other Thursday from 7-8:30PM. Host a Prefrosh!

CPW is coming up quickly, and we need YOUR help to make sure all of the prefrosh have a place to stay. As a reward for hosting, you will be given a FREE air mattress from MIT Admissions (which you get to keep!) and also the chance to get to know an incoming student, and help convince them to come to MIT! If you want, you can also host a prefrosh during Sin LiMITe or Ebony Affair, both of which are the same weekend of April 11-13th. These programs give prefrosh extra insight on campus and help build connections through cultural affinity groups to help ensure all of our admitted students can belong and have a place at MIT.
