Stand Up Against Sexual Assault—Sit Down and Take the Survey

Hello Dorm Residents,

As Sexual Assault Awareness Month draws to a close, I would like to remind everyone to take the Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Misconduct. As a reminder, this survey is being put out by the AAU (Association of American Universities), and MIT is just one of many universities participating.

Participation has been incredible thus far, and we have received over 3500 responses cumulatively (round of applause). However, the more responses we receive, the better informed the Institute will be going forward. The last round of this survey brought on great changes such as the establishment of the Title IX Office and the expansion of MIT VPR (Violence Prevention and Response).

A reminder that completion of the survey grants you $10 that you can use as an Amazon gift card or donate to various resources on campus and in Boston (the MIT Good Samaritan Fund, VPR, The MindHandHeart Innovation Fund, or BARCC (the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center). The suggestion of a donation option actually came from MIT students, and has been adopted by other schools across the country administering the survey as well.
